Since 1994, Multichoice Hellas has broadcast two analog pay television stations terrestrially throughout much of Greece. The two stations, Nova Cinema 1 and Nova Sports 1, are encoded a subscription and encoder to be viewed. Pay-television services are likely to continue after the switchover to digital broadcasting. These stations are also available on the Nova digital satellite platform.

In Cyprus, terrestrial pay television services began in 1993 and there are currently two stations available, Lumiere TV (LTV) and Alfa TV, which are also available on several satellite, cable and IPTV playforms.
